DTU/DCE First Cut off List for B.Tech 2011-2012 admisssion

Delhi Technological University formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering, declared its first list of admissions on Tuesday for its 15 BTech programmes.

The university, this year has adopted the online admission system under which the candidates were required to register online. A total of 10,827 candidates registered for online counselling for admission to 1,218 seats in DTU.

According to the cutoff released, students between 55 to 2,297 AIEEEranks can seek admission to computer engineering while aspirants between 562 and 3,608 ranks can apply for electronics and communication engineering. Mechanical engineering is another popular branch where students with a rank between 89 and 4,905 can seek admission.

Candidates selected in First Round will have to attend counselling and take admission before the reported date.

Second round cut-off will be released on July 15.

A candidate, who has been admitted to a branch other than his/her first choice, will automatically be upgraded, as per his/her merit in AIEEE-2011, to a branch of his/her higher preference as indicated in his/her online application submission. The list of the students with upgraded branches will be displayed on the website periodically.

DTU has 15% seats are reserved for candidates from outside Delhi while 85% seats are reserved for Delhi candidates. All admissions in DTU are being made on the basis of the all India merit rank in the AIEEE 2011.
